There are "Snow Many Reasons to Read" during the Kids Winter Reading program at Timothy C. Hauenstein Reynolds Township Library. This is a six-week program beginning Monday, Feb. 5 through Saturday, Mar. 16, 2024. No sign-up is required. To get started, visit the library between Feb. 5-10  to pick up the first reading log. Return weekly to pick up a new reading log and check out enough books to achieve your child's reading goal. Please print first and last name on reading log before returning. Limit of six reading logs per child.

Prizes are dependent on which type of reading log your child completes. Ages are suggested below.

Picture book readers (ages 0-6): Pick a prize from our treasure chest! 

Chapter book readers (ages 7-12): There will be a new piece of the snow globe to collect. By the end of the program you should have a complete snow globe. Each week there will be a new color of reading log available; the color corresponds with the week we are on. 

  • Week #1 – Snow globe (Green reading log)
  • Week #2 – Little tree (Purple reading log)
  • Week #3 – Snowman (White reading log
  • Week #4 – Big tree (Pink reading log)
  • Week #5 – Snow Bunny (Blue reading log)
  • Week #6 – Snow (Orange reading log)
