Adventure begins at your library! The 2024 Teen Summer Reading Program begins Monday, June 3 through Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. This program is intended for teens ages 13-18 years old. Signups begin Monday, June 3, but can be done at any time throughout the program duration. Sign up early for your best chance at winning prizes!

Participation guidelines

1. Teen sign up materials can be found on the table located in the Teen area of the library.
2. Complete the registration slip and place in the brown box on the Reference Desk or turn into one of our staff members at the Circulation Desk.
3.  Reading materials must be checked out from Timothy C. Hauenstein Reynolds Township Library. Materials include:
   
   1. Teen or adult books
   2. Teen or adult audiobooks
   3. Digital materials available through the Libby app, including eBooks and eAudiobooks (Teen or adult)
   4. If you are reading JUV or ABC books, they will not count towards the Teen Summer Reading Program.
4. Record completed titles on the Teen Treasure Map (PDF).
5. You do not have to complete the Treasure Map, but if you choose to do so, you will earn additional money for the Live Auction! Completed Treasure Maps must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
6. All Teen Teasure Maps must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. 

Mystery Spots

Mystery spots offer you a chance to earn prize dollars for the Live Auction! To participate, visit the library and pick up a numbered glass bottle from the table located in the Teen area of the library. Bring the bottle to the Circulation Desk and our staff will give you a "mystery" title to read. It's a mystery, because you don't know what title you will get! (Titles will not necessarily be a mystery genre.)

Live Auction

The Live Auction will be held at on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Community Room at Timothy C. Hauenstein Reynolds Township Library.  A wide variety of prizes are available for "purchase"; we have something for everyone! Prize dollars will be awarded for each title recorded on your Treasure Map. Don't forget, you can earn additional money for reading Mystery Spots and completing your Teen Treasure Map!
