
Winter Reading Program
Signup for the Winter Reading Program begins Monday, Jan. 5 2026. This program is for all ages and abilities.
The Kids Reading Program is 6-weeks-long, ending on Monday, Feb.16, 2026. The Adult & Teens Reading Programs continues through Friday, Mar. 27, 2026.
Kids -
Picture Book Readers
(Jan. 5 - Feb. 16)
Picture books are recommended for ages 0-6 years. Reading logs are available to pick up in the Children's Area of the library. Limit one log per week, per child. Completed reading logs must include a full name and phone number.
Participation Guidelines:

​Checkout 7 picture books from our library.

Read the books to/with your child.

Have your child color one image on the reading log for each book read together.

Return completed logs to Children's Department each week to pick a prize from the toy chest.
Kids -
Chapter Book
Readers
(Jan. 5 - Feb. 16)
Chapter books are recommended for ages 7-12 years or independent readers. Reading logs are available to pick up in the Children's Area of the library. Limit one log per week, per child. Completed reading logs must include a full name and phone number.
Participation Guidelines:

Complete a weekly reading goal of 1.5 hrs.​

Books must be checked out from our library. (Digital materials from Libby count.)

Have your child color one image on the reading log for each book read together.

Return completed logs to Children's Department each week to pick a prize from the toy chest.
Teens
(Jan. 5 - Mar. 27)
Receive a book bag after reading 5 books!
Prize drawing will be Mar. 30. Need not be present to win.
The Teen Reading Program is for ages 13-17 years. Reading logs can be picked up at the Reference Desk or Circulation Desk at the time of registration. Completed reading logs must include a full name and phone number.
Participation Guidelines:

Check out books from our library. (Digital materials from Libby count.)

Record the title of each book you read on the reading log.

Rate the book by marking off the woodland creatures (1 to 5, least to greatest likes)

Bring your reading logs to the Circulation Desk when you return the books to receive a raffle ticket for each title you recorded.

Write your name and telephone number on each ticket.

Place completed raffle tickets in the prize jar of your choosing.​​
Adults
